Clovercrest - A Prosperity Challenge: January 2016

University Season 1

Darin and Tanner have moved from Clovercrest to Sim State University and brought their love interests Tosha Go and Meadow Thayer with them. They end up in some dorms until they can manage to get enough money to move to an independent house and turn it into a greek house.

As usual the arrival outfits for most of the sims are not what we would imagine them wearing. This will change once kids pick out their rooms. (The purple dress girl is not a playable. Tosha is the last one and coming out of the building.)

They arrive at the shops on campus and since Meadow is the only one I don't feel needs a big change she stops and talks with the secret society member.

Tosha's is apparently the only make over I actually took a picture of, but I think she looks great with the longer hair.

Back home you get a chance to see Darin and Tanner's new looks. Darin and Tosha finally fall in love. They were crushing when they moved to uni. Other than Darin each of the playable sims rolled a wish to get engaged to their intended.

Dorm life has the kids talking to lots of people. Tanner is there in the red shirt talking to the boy on the couch.

Tosha and Darin go to one of the uni locations and she also meets and greets a couple of the secret society members. At this point I thought Tosha would be the first to get in.

After chatting with people for awhile they decide to jam out. Sadly no one comes to watch them so they don't get any tips.

Back at the dorm, and contrary to this pictures, real studying is going on. However, here three of the four Clovercrest kids enjoy a breakfast.

The kids did manage to all finish the first semester with 4.0's all the way around. Tanner and Tosha play kickball with this girl from their dorm. She is actually in the SS and so we are trying to be friends.

Later, since Darin is also now rolling the wish to get engaged to Tosha, all the rest still hold their wishes as well, we have Tanner and Meadow get engaged. He held the want, no fear about it, but he is a pleasure sim so apparently it wasn't a very good feeling for him. She will make him happy though.

On the other hand Darin and Tosha couldn't be happier. They are both 3-bolts, although Darin also has 3-bolts with Meadow so either choice probably would have worked for him. Still, they are engaged and happy about it.

Then I was very surprised to find that Meadow was actually the first taken to the SS. They came and got her late at night as I was trying to send her to bed.

Congrats Meadow. She spent some time there counter-fitting money, and purchasing an expensive painting which she stuck in her backpack to take home. It's money for the greek house.

True to form, once you get one sim into the SS the effect begins to snowball. Tosha gets taken the next night.

Congrats Tosha. While she was busy counter-fitting money herself I either missed it, or it never popped up that her final was occurring. Sadly this meant that Tosha missed her final and even though she was at the highest point she could be for the semester she ended up with a C+.

As the hood grows we will have some additional houses now and come back for the second year of uni, but since we are still at a small number of houses we will be back for sophomore year soon.

Season 2: The Mimoza Family

Mimoza Family

Last Time: The family tried to keep up with triplet toddlers and everyone managed to survive. The adults worked, or tried to find jobs and the kids grew up to children. Then the family enjoyed a day at the lake.

The season starts on a Sunday and the family is studying or building friendships. Last round Bob met a blonde woman at the lake that he was pretty attracted to and he's trying to build up a relationship with her.

Once the boys are up Bob reads to one of them. One of the boys takes over the phone. I can't imagine how this house will work if the boys don't get cell phones when they turn teens.

Someone, either Tess or Bob, wanted to throw a party. Everyone on the list is invited since they don't know many people. Most of them show up.

One of the boys plays with the blonde Bob likes and Tess talks with another girl from the neighborhood in their entrance to the kitchen living room.

Bob and Todd sit at the table eating with one of the boys. I don't even really try and keep track as to which one is which at the moment. I'm pretty sure that's Marvin though with green pj's.

All the boys sit with their dad and watch TV after school. Every day Todd checks the paper for a job as a criminal. You would think that would be more a go out and find it job, but in sims it's posted in the papers. So far though, the criminal world in the sims is not hiring.

One of the ladies at the party likes Bob and thinks she knows the perfect person for him. He hasn't built up the relationship with the blonde to anything more than barely friends so why not. In drops a vacation townie.

While they are starting their date the red head lady comes in an joins a smuttle party going on inside. All the boys are into it.

Bob and this girl are really hitting it off. By the end of the date they are at least crushing, if not in love. That settles in, next round Bob will move into his own house and have this girl move in.

All three boys use the TV to build up a lot of fun. The KidzTube is still the fastest way I've found for most kids to get fun quick. There are other ways to build fun, but they seem to take longer to me.

With a bunch of snow on the ground, and everyone bringing friends home from school there is a large snowball fight in the side yard. Everyone has fun.

As the season starts to wrap up that means it's time for birthday's again. All three boys go their cakes while the family and a couple of friends cheer them on.

All the boys grow up well. I even like the sweater they put...Marvin? in. It suits him. (Checks notes: Brennan is in the back with the green track suit, Frankie is in the red pj's and yes that is Marvin in the front.)

Brennan in the back is a knowledge sim who want to become a space pirate. He likes zombie girls in swimwear but not if they have black hair.

Frankie is a fortune sim, and regardless of the trouble his father has had wants to become a criminal mastermind. He likes boys in cologne who have custom hair do's but not if they stink.

Finally Marvin is a knowledge sim as well, but he wants to become an educational minister. He likes red haired werewolf girls, but not if they are creative.

Tess and Todd haven't decided if they really want any more kids. We have instituted a flipping coin system that decides if they will try for a baby which is partially based on personality and desires. They did try once, but no baby came to be. They do love each other very much though.

With the boys as teens and Bob moving out next round there may be additional chances for another baby. Three in one family so far is quite a few in this hood, but we do want it to grow. Time will tell if that will happen. So another season is done in the main hood, and now we head off to university.

Season 2: The Yerazig Family

Yerazig Family

Zaria Yerazig: Female Child | Virgo

Last Time: Elyse and Joyce worked together to raised little Zaria. At the end of the round Zaria grew up to a child. The family went to the lake, and Joyce worked on building up lovers.

Over half way through round 2 and we are back at the Yerazig family. Zaria and Elyse are very close they spends lots of time talking and joking together.

Zaria is also pretty active and likes to jump rope. It's a quiet Sunday at the house.

Joyce has a love prospect over and Elyse spends quite a bit of time on the phone. No one her sister brings home has much attraction for her and so her dream of having 50 dream dates dwindles some every day.

Her sister, Joyce, however, it still steadily going along. This is Amin Sims who is the next one brought into Joyce's bed.

Elyse keeps Zaria company in the other room while Joyce is busy. It doesn't always look like it from the pictures but Joyce also spends a lot of time with Zaria.

Everyone wanted to go to a community lot so we went to the plaza at Roseview Village. It's a very nicely done community lot (I didn't build it, but it's beautiful.)

Elyse and Zaria both wanted to play on the computers so they headed to the lab that is set up.

Joyce, of course, started talking to some of the people at the plaza. This is one of the stylists in the salon.

Zaria got some new wintery clothes, and I think she made a great choice. She is a very cute girl.

Then she starts to greet other kids as they walk by. I don't remember who this is but they only do ok.

Then she meets....uh, Marvin? Frankie? I don't remember which Mimoza kid this is, but it's one of them. They get along pretty well. Maybe as teens they will hit it off. She is the only eligible girl in the whole hood.

Joyce gets asked out on an outing by Amin I'm pretty sure and decides to accept. It's a good way for her to meet more men.

They head to one of the downtown lots and she chats up a few of the people in the group. Here she talks with Jihoon Hsu I believe.

Once she gets home she autonomously goes in tucks Zaria into her bed. She really is a very good grandma to Zaria, even if she is also pretty obsessed with gaining lovers.

Then she sits and the sisters get a chance to sit and talk as sisters for the first time since they moved to Clovercrest.

The next day before school Joyce gives Zaria a little boost of fun and plays with her before the bus gets there. She also now has a job due to a meeting she had on the outing.

Joyce invites Jilhoon over and they continue their progress quite well. Sims do love to pillow fight.

Soon he winds up in her bed. I don't think they actually woohoo at this point, but a day or two later.

Zaria still spends quite a bit of time painting. She might end up getting a creativity scholarship if she keeps this up.

Elyse, without anyone to date, spends a lot of time dancing and gets invited to the dance secret lot. She then wants to win a dance contest.

Poor Elyse is VERY shy, but she goes and enters the dance contest at the secret lot. Unfortunately she loses, but tries again. She loses that time too.

Zaria continues to either bring kids home, and greets kids that go by. She is getting to know quite a few.

A fairly unusual family dinner. Most of the time the family doesn't actually sit down like this, but no one was in need of anything else for awhile.

Then it's time for Zaria to grow up, so to the cake she goes. It's just her grandma and great aunt there to celebrate with her.

Zaria is now a teen. I think she's rather pretty. I notice she kept with the pink theme in her pj's at least. She is a fortune sims with the LTW to become the Law. She likes boys with blonde hair who wear cologne but not if they are creative.

After Zaria heads to school Elyse still wants to win a dance competition so she and Joyce head to the dance lot again.

Third time is a charm, Elyse wins the dance competition! Elyse is very happy to have won.

Zaria seems to be more popularity minded then fortune minded as she talks with a teen girl she brought home with her.

The season ends with the family doing well. Elyse's LTW is proving nearly impossible to even try and reach since she doesn't really ever wish for any of the guys around the house. She is so shy her conversations are not usually very good either. Joyce on the other hand is well on her way. She has met and built up relationships with quite a few people and will continue in her quest. Zaria is probably going to get a new every day outfit next round but is doing well.
