Season 5: The Mimoza Family

Last Time: Stephanie Mimoza was born and eventually turned into a toddler.  The triplets left for university. Parties were thrown by Tess and lots of skilling took place. 

We get to start this round with the gypsy woman dropping off a lap.  This is pretty exciting for the family and while no one ended up making a wish this round, next round they will probably wish for money, at least, to remodel and add onto the house as the heir and his intended will be home from college.

Todd needed body skills for work, and he wanted to get fit at the same time.  Luckily those two things go together, although he gets fit faster than he gains the body skills he needed.  Eventually, he reached his body skill goals and his fitness goals and life is good for Todd.

Tess, who is in her workout clothes from playing soccer with Todd, goes to the grocery store.  She is into Cuisine and realized they were out of food.  That has stopped being as big of an issue now that the teen boys are out of the house, but they still need food sometimes.  As a side note, I really like Tess' workout clothes.

It was time for Stephanie's birthday so, Tess being Tess, threw a party and invited the triplets as well as Bob and his wife and friends from around the neighborhood.  Of course, everyone decides they want to dance.

Tess brought little Stephanie to the cake and they blew out the candles together.  I did not get Stephanie's grow up picture, but she turned into a cute little girl and managed to reach 8 charisma skills as a toddler.

The party turns into a hula party, although Elyse Yerazig didn't seem to get that memo as she is the only one dancing to her own beat.

Here is Stephanie as a girl.  She actually grew up into that outfit, which I thought was adorable and suited her perfectly.  It's a miracle when that happens in the Sims, but sometimes the system does pick out cute outfits.  Stephanie is teaching her little girl to study.

Tess was finally high enough in the Law career to get the career reward and used it to help get her charisma built up.  She, unfortunately, due to a chance card, lost a skill and still needed charismas points, so it was good she earned it.

I realized the upstairs of the house was a little weird and lacked any room to really grow into.  Also, only one person could play chess at a time.  So I remodeled some and it caused some strange issues.  Every time I switch levels in the house the sims popped out of whatever they were doing, they also would randomly stand somewhere and yell at me they couldn't move.  So I removed everything again, sold some stuff, burninated the ground and then put everything back and all was resolved.  Not sure exactly what caused it, but at least Tess and her daughter were able to get some logic skills in.

There is also now a phone upstairs as well, and Todd took time to try and get another family friend.  Tess needs one more for another promotion and she has been slacking a little on gaining friends this round.

Stephanie finally came home with an A+, which met a huge with for her.  She ran in to tell her dad, who had just gotten off the phone, and he was very proud of his little girl.  I love how they cheer for the kids when they reach this.

Stephanie brought a friend home, due to a change card, and spent some time playing with her.  She has become Stephanie's first non-family friend.  This is, I believe, one of the girls I built to fill the adoption pool.  She has freckles thanks to ASimWen's sims that I have downloaded.

I could not remember what the criminal reward gave you skill wise so I had Tess ask Todd for lessons.  It's creativity and while Tess didn't NEED a creativity skill, it gave them some time together.  You can also see we finally have the reward objects in the house and not on the porch.

And with that, we are done with another season for the Mimoza household, at least the first one.  We are getting ready to head back into university now which will see all of the kids coming home for the next round. Sadly, even though she's VERY close, Tess still hasn't gotten the hobby plaque for cuisine yet, but she should get it next round.

Season 5: The Yerazig Family

Last Time: When we last visited this family....holy cow over 2 years ago (I really am bad at taking long breaks between playing, oh well) Zaria left for college at the end of the round.  The sisters achieved a couple of hobby plaques, and Joyce continued to gather WooHoos.

The house feels a little empty without Zaria here, but she will be back with her intended Ash next round.  Her time in uni will finish this round.  In the meantime though, the sisters continue to do what they can to reach their goals.  Joyce starts off working on this guy, I think it's Ryan Wheeler. He quickly becomes another notch in her bed.  That brings Joyce up to 7 WooHoos.  Still very far from her desired 20, but she is making progress.

After a little fun in bed, Ryan joins both the sisters for a dinner of spaghetti.  Elyse looks like she is staring right at me. She is not having the best of times, really wishing she had someone to date that her sister hadn't gotten too first.

So instead Elyse works on her Nature hobby, which is almost maxed out, by visiting the Nature hobby lot.  There she feeds the fish, smells the flowers and enjoys being out in nature.

Back at home, Joyce is working on getting her Films and Literature plaque by starting another book.  This one is all about nature, which I'm guessing is made up of knowledge from her sister.

Later in the week this dog visits. I'm not sure of his name, but he was such a pretty puppy, unlike so many of the same generic looking dogs the hood gives you I had to say hi.  He, I think it was a he anyway, promptly destroyed Zaria's bed when I wasn't paying attention.  Found it hours after he left the lot.  Oops.

Elyse still loves to play with the bass, even though she doesn't have, nor is she working towards a Music and Dance plaque. This is one of the favorite items of most of the sims in this house.

After getting a little "fun" in Elyse goes back to the pond to work on her nature some more and see if we can get a gold badge in fishing.  So far no such luck, but she did catch a lot of fish and they will be put in the fridge for later consumption.

Joyce had gotten caught "cheating" on Hobart during her date with Ryan earlier in the week.  He then spent a ton of time kicking over the trashcan of course.  Suddenly, and surprisingly, he called up Joyce and asked her to go on an outing with him downtown.  She decided to accept.

While they were there Hobart and Joyce regained their friendship.  He must not have been TOO bad about the "cheating" because it hadn't been that many days, and he had talked to her in pretty much all of that time.

Joyce also met the resident vampire.  This got me thinking it could be a fun move to have her befriend the vampire.  Might help her get her lovers in.  Nothing more happened today, but a note in my head was made, hopefully, I will remember it when I get back to this hood.

Back at home Joyce moves on to her next friend, Bruce Rauscher, and invites him over for a date.  Before too long they are in love and he becomes Joyce's lover number 9.  She is almost 1/2 way to her goal but is chugging elixir, just like her sister, to keep them alive until Zaria comes home.  We will see what happens next round.

While working on her 3rd novel, this time one about an alien who crashes his ship and is hunted by the authorities until he can get on a rocket home, Joyce maxes out her Films and Literature hobby and receives the plaque which gets hung on the wall.

Elyse still loves to sew and has been working on making custom outfits for females and males that she is stocking in the wardrobe in hope that Zaria and Ash might make use of them.  She also wants to make some baby clothes, just in case.

While headed out for a hike we forgot it was currently hot outside and Elyse comes back and promptly passes out due to heat.  Sadly, Joyce was at work when this happened so there is no one by strangers to help her, and none of the passers stop to help this old lady on the ground. Luckily Joyce came home from work after a couple of hours and was able to revive her.

Then, while Elyse was spending time cooling off inside by blogging about Nature she earns the Nature hobby plaque.  That means each sister has gained yet another hobby plaque and the wall of hobby plaques is growing.

As the season wraps up we see the sisters starting new hobby interests.  Joyce is getting into Sports, maybe it will make her more attractive to men, and Elyse decides to pursue her true interest in Tinkering by learning about mechanics. Next round Zaria will be home, and we will see if this two last another round or if we let them pass with a good life behind them.

We do not end up with any more points due to the hobby plaques, but if either of them stays around maybe they can get to 5 and get some more points.

Season 5: The Ramiel Family

Last Round: Darin and Tosha had just returned to the house from being at university.  They got married and enjoyed a fun honeymoon.  Shortly after that Tosha discovered she was pregnant and the couple had a son at the very end of the round they name Cody. Both Darin and Tosha learned to teleport during their trip and Tosha found a job in her chosen career.

We open the lot to find Darin eating some burnt pancakes, which I believe he tried to make himself and thinking about babies.  Is he thinking about having another one, or is he thinking about the one he already has?  It's hard to say at this point.

Darin checks the computer for a job and finally, a job in the criminal career has opened up!  Darin takes it right away and starts later that night. It's always humorous to me when a couple has one sim who wants to be a criminal mastermind and the other wants to be captain hero.  Do they have secret lives from each other?

Since it is now spring Darin went down to the shops and found everyone some spring type clothing.  When he gets back Tosha really wants to have another baby and Darin has no problem obliging trying for his wife.

That evening, before Darin heads off to work, the couple sits down to a meal of spaghetti, which was cooked perfectly by Tosha.  She is actually a very good cook. I really do like her spring outfit, it seems to suit her very well.

Darin is a good day and plays with his son Cody.  It's almost time for Cody's birthday and Darin always makes sure he is fed.  Tosha does as well, but during the day it's Darin's responsibility.  The fact the couple works opposite shifts works out great for childcare.

That very next morning though, while Darin is studying up some skills in order to get a promotion, Tosha suspects she is pregnant. Another little Ramiel should be on their way.

Tosha wanted to eat hotdogs and so she cooked a few up on the grill.  Her cravings were starting to kick in and she looks like she wanted to talk to Darin, but he was engrossed in his studying.

Sure enough, we get confirmation that Tosha is indeed pregnant.  She was so close to getting a promotion so we sent her to work anyway. Her needs plummeted pretty good while at work, but she did get the promotion she was looking for.

Darin, meanwhile, decided to throw a birthday party for Cody.  It was time for him to grow up into a toddler.  So all their friends were invited over.  Here we see Eugene, Opal, and Jaiden (at least I believe that's who these three are.)

Outside waiting to come in we see Arnav and Meadow are also here. Some of these guys are back from university and others are still there, but this core group of students knew each other quite well from being in the Greek House together.

Cody was brought to the cake by Darin and everyone celebrated, but nothing happened.  Ok, check to make sure Cody doesn't need a diaper changed, which he doesn't and remember we had a glitching baby last house with Meadow not wanting to give birth.

Take too, more celebration and the baby still doesn't want to grow up.  I am starting to get concerned at this point, but it's nearly time for Darin to go to work and Tosha is now home. As a last-ditch effort, even though I was pretty sure it wasn't needed, baby Cody was fed a bottle.

Tosha brings him back to yet another cake and this time baby Cody grows up.  For all he was fed, apparently, Cody had gotten hungry and wasn't going to grow up that way.  He is a cute little boy with his mom's blonde hair, but his dad's blue eyes.

Tosha gets to work feeding Cody smart milk and sits down to teach him to talk.  His first word is mama, which melts Tosha's heart.  Before long Cody is talking up a storm.

Late at night, actually in the bedroom, Tosha goes into labor.  After the pain comes the joy of another baby....only there were actually two new babies.

First, we meet Lesly Ramiel.  She got popular name 834 and is a blonde haired, green eyes little bundle of joy. Her sister gets popular name 438, Jazlyn Ramiel.  She has dark brown hair like her dad and his blue eyes.

Darin is thrilled with having twin girls, but it does mean more renovations need to be done to the house.  After moving around some items Darin is able to finish up potty training with Cody.  The less they have to "train Cody" as the girls get older the better.

Now that she is no longer pregnant Tosha teaches Cody to walk.  He is now mobile, able to ask for what he needs, and potty trained.  The parents can focus their attention on the twins as needed now.

They also can focus on their studies.  Both needed skills for a promotion and so they sat down and worked hard to reach their goals.

Darin noticed a stray dog had dug up the yard, and because I was curious if that possibly meant anything I had Darin dig for treasure in that spot.  He came up with a treasure chest.  Is this normal, I wonder?

Cody really wanted to learn a nursery rhyme and so Darin sat down and taught it to him. Currently, his crib is right outside his parents' room, but as the twins get older he will probably end up sharing a room with them.

Tosha needed body skills and since it's much easier to get those skills if you know physiology she sat down and learned it.  She was able to get most of her needed skills by the end of the round and will be set up to get another promotion next round.
